John Walker lectures on natural history, 1788.

This collection of three volumes of natural history lectures delivered by John Walker, professor in the College of Edinburgh, contain material not found in printed compilations of Walker's lectures. These transcribed lectures are divided into six sections: meteorology, hydrography, geology, mineralogy, botany, and zoology. Bound in vellum with marbled edges, these volumes include the armorial bookplate of John Thomas Stanley of Alderby, and a proof of an engraved portrait of John Walker.
